Frog and Toad
My impression, having returned to reading the
Frog and Toad tales, is that these are the adventures of a pair of close
male friends whose shared fondness for tweed and corduroy can only
point to their status as graduate students in the humanities.

Building the New Sandbox
Daddy and the boys beginning construction on our sandbox, which has proved to be a good investment of labor and capital.

The Last Day of Summer
Benny is making the most of this, his last day of summer vacation. He loves riding his bike at the park. The novelty of this little five year old on a two-wheeler still hasn't worn off for me even though it's been over a year. I love watching him maneuver his bike with increasing confidence and pride. But day-um it was hot out there. (Why so few trees, park planners?) Still, we had a great time riding and playing and picnicking. Now everyone is asleep, wiped out from the morning's activities. This afternoon we will swim at Tutu and Sindo's and eat ice cream. Because even though school starts tomorrow, it is, after all, still summer.
Committment Issues
Happy 2012, everyone! To all three of you who may actually follow AmagoMundi, we'd like to welcome you to this near year of blogging. Please don't take it personally that we have been so out of touch. We are sorry. Amy (yo!) has decided to hold off on full-time teaching for a little while longer and return to the nest. Last year was great (first year back full-time since having kiddos) but alas, the schedule threw our family out of balance. I plan on returning when the boys are a little older.
Being a stay-at-homer means (in addition to a whole bunch of other wonderful things) that I will commit to resurrecting our wee blog. Aren't you excited? Yes. Of course you are.
Are we ready?
