Practicing Our Fake Smile

Today, quite by accident, we learned how to do the fake smile.

This is our first attempt.

Second attempt.

Third attempt.

Fourth attempt. Looking better...

Perfect! Now we are ready for our grandmas!

Just When You Think

Just when you think your child is above-average, exceptional, a first rate intelligence... he tries to eat a block of cheese with the plastic still on it.

Swim Lessons

Today we started our "Parent and Tot" swim lessons at the Knute Rockne Memorial Pool. Benny absolutely loved being in the water with us, and didn't want to get out when the half-hour lesson was over. He was particularly good at sitting on the edge of the pool and waiting until we counted three before jumping into our arms (squealing with delight). We need to work on his motor-boating skills, since he was more interested in drinking the water rather than making bubbles. The kid seems to trust his parents, which is good. Although he wasn't all that excited about the lay-flat-on-your-back-and-look-at-the-cieling excercise.

For her part, Ms. A enjoyed being light and buoyant for 30 minutes.

Mr. S enjoyed looking at Ms. A in her cute brown and white polka dot preggers swimsuit.

Daddy's Shoes

While Mom and Dad are out on a date (just like the Obamas', only cheaper), Benny is at home with his cute new babysitter. (He does love his shoes! Especially Ms A's green pumps.)

Happy Momma

Happy Momma got to have a vanilla bean frappuccino, even though we forgot that our sonogram appointment is tomorrow, not today. She reports that the baby is loving it.
