Best Meal Ever: Last Night
Handmade corn tortillas from La Vaquita
Red cabbage (pour some boiling water and vinager on it in advance to soften it; then drain)
A's special sauce (mayo, cholula, chili powder, lime juice)
Lime juice
Cholula
Perfect avocado
Perfectly sauteed mahi mahi (salt, pepper, light flour dusting)
Secret ingredient: diced onion shoots

Looks awesome!!! Did the boys eat it too? Just curious.
Yum! I'll have to try the chili powder in the sauce next time. And I've never used the scallions but will definitely tweek my recipe for the next attempt. Neko likes them without the sauce!
The boys ate some of the fish, but the cabbage and sauce were too much for them. That being said, I'm now wondering if I really want them to eat these? Do I really want to share? We tried them again last night and Daddy made a pig of himself.
Scallions work too! The weird thing about the onion shoots is that they really were onion shoots: Momma found an onion sprouting in the pantry and diced up a couple of the shoots. And they were delicious!
