Frog and Toad
My impression, having returned to reading the
Frog and Toad tales, is that these are the adventures of a pair of close
male friends whose shared fondness for tweed and corduroy can only
point to their status as graduate students in the humanities.

I think that Frog and Toad, and Where the Wild Things Are are completely perfect books.
Chris says you have it backwards. It's humanities grad students who are trying to convince people they are as cool as Frog & Toad.
