The Dilettante Goose

So, we got goosed. And since I'm here in my office waiting for Benny to wake up from his nap so that Ms. A can come and pick me up, I'll play along, Kathleen:

And since I don't know what a meme is (and am all around ignorant to meme theory), this goose is going to die here, I think.

Well, we had a really great weekend with Gramma Jo, who selflessly volunteered to stay home with the baby while we went out for a Valentine's Day dinner and movie (Thursday night); spent an evening out at the local public house (Friday night); and got together with friends sans kids for some of the jazz music (Saturday night). We even got to go to a matinée on Sunday afternoon.

Now everything is back to normal, but we do miss our Jo Jo. And not just because she takes such good care of her grandson. She also makes terrific lentil soup! It is soooo nice to have grandparents in town. We can't wait for the arrival of the Abuelos de Pasadena in March. No pressure, though.

Green Beans

We are not sure if this video is going to make us look like cruel parents, but we thought it was imperative to get this footage out there for the grandmothers to enjoy.

You will see, however, that in the end the baby finally gets his revenge on us for laughing at the faces he makes while eating pureed green beans.





So, what did we learn? We have discovered that green beans, unlike revenge, are best served warm mixed with a little bit of rice cereal and milk. Benny still likes plain rice cereal best, however, as you can see.

(Also, we did not put Tabasco in the baby food. That was a joke.)

In general he really likes eating, and clearly we really love feeding him.

We love this kid.
